Gnad suggested I provide definitions for the words I provided in the comments to her last post. So here we go–so fun words for you to say:
bouffant: as in “I got a big bouffant on.” Say it, it’s fun. And you know what this one means, I’m not going to define it.
aliquot: a portion of the total amount of a solution, or the verb of portioning it out. As in, “Would you please aliquot me out a bit of your soda into this glass.”
cheese and weasel: best when used together, as in “Man you are such a cheese weasel.”
sarkosyl: is another name for sodium lauryl sarcosinate. It is one of those words that looks cool and is fun to say.
femtomolar: so ‘femto’ is 10^-15 and molar is the number of moles of a substance per liter. Do you remember moles? A mole an Avogadro’s number worth of something (like how a dozen is twelve of something).
There you go. Feel free to respond with more fun words of your own.
