Creepily happy moment

My iTunes, set on shuffle mode, played “WAKE UP, NEMECEK!” (I didn’t know iTunes found it) followed by Toni Basil’s “Mickey”. Random coincidence? I think not.

p.s. I know this would have been better if the Spanish version of “Mickey” played instead, but alas it did not.

An arg (and somewhat creepy) moment

This Sunday my ATM card fell out of my pocket and I knew exactly where I must have dropped it. I walk back to this place (with dog in tow) and see it’s not there. I walk up and down, up and down this tiny street–no find. I ask Sparky to help me look; he can’t find it either. The bank is nearby so I go in person to report the card lost and to get a new one in the mail. 30 minutes later I get a call from a guy who found my name, address, and phone number on the internet (eek!) who found my ATM card and will kindly meet me nearby to give me the card. When we meet I realized we had already passed each other by on the street where I lost it earlier. He said he’s been walking up and down, up and down this street too to find the owner of the card. My picture is on the damn card. I appreciate that my card fell into the hands of a kind, thoughtful person, but, Augh
