As some of you know, I’m getting ready to start training for a half-marathon. Why? I’m a moron who likes to punish myself. But this is not my point.
My point is that I’ve started watching episodes of Chuck while training on the elliptical machine. We’ll say that I obtained these….legally. *ahem*
The show seems well suited for watching on an iPod while exercising–it comes across well on the small screen, doesn’t require a ton of concentration, and has lots of thumping, exciting spy-type music.
So, what other shows that you like do you think would translate well to a small screen stared at by a sweaty person? Eventually, I’m going to run out of Chuck episodes.

Edited to add: Hey there was a Lost shoutout in the Chuck episode I watched tonight at the gym. Awesome-o.

when you’re over @ my place i can give you the sing-along-blog i bought off itunes. seeing as i don’t have an ipod and other than an appletv that’s the only thing it’ll play on
Oooh…if some jerk is on their cellphone at the gym, then I can start singing along really loudly ;p
Let me know if you think of anything else that would look good teensified.
hurmm…off of itunes (so you’d think the author would have a tiny screen in mind…but they don’t always), not all free, and quality varies:

Speaking of Chuck shoutouts, did you see Chuck v the Crown Vic? Firefly shoutout as Chuck and Casey discuss the “shiny” car.
You might be able to string together some of the Chuck web-only shorts (Nerd Herd interviews etc) on tvguide.com (and other places, but I think tvguide might offer access to more of them.
BTW — Did w/hole turn you on to Chuck?
I think I want to save Firefly for a larger screen. But Ugly Betty’s a possiblity–I’ve seen a few episodes of that on the TVs at the gym, and it seems well suited to watching while exercising.
Burn Notice is one I know zero about.
A. and I had watched part of one episode of Chuck in a hotel room some time last year. And I recalled liking the small part we saw–then you were going on about how much you liked it–and then someone offered me copies of the show. So, you can claim at least 33% credit.
You can preview the whole 1st season of Burn notice and part of the second season on hulu.com. Has Bruce Campbell (Ashe, Xena) as one of the recurring characters. 1st season’s better than the 2nd.
It is sad that the mention of Bruce Campbell is all that is necessary. I’m now officially interested.
Oh, actually — 30 days on FX by Morgan Spurlock is another one — 3 seasons, 6 episodes per season.
Oh, that’s a good idea too.
